Making A Difference

Television needs to highlight the best in humankind: our ability to laugh, to help one another and to conquer adversity. We need to celebrate, not denigrate the human spirit. Each one of us, every day, should consciously seek to make the television landscape a better place. I do not mean sugarcoating problems or separating one human being from another but encouraging all of us to reach for the best that is in each of us. If we cannot do it on television, over which we have relatively great control how can we expect to make a difference in the world in which we live?
