The Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors is the principal multi-guild professional
organization mentoring television producers, writers and directors in their negotiations with
the cable and broadcast networks for their creative rights. It strives to make an impact on the
industry in supporting opponents of media consolidation and has as its major goal the
improvement in the quality of television for the general audience. In the past year, the Caucus
has been in the forefront of industry awareness in industry growth of digital, mobile and the
vast expansion of technology through industry-wide panels. In a recent arrangement
coordinated by former Caucus President Vin Di Bona, the Caucus provides videotapes of many
of its panels featuring professionals in all areas of the industry to Boston’s Emerson College,
edited to become educational tools for appropriate classes.
