HAYMA "SCREECH" WASHINGTON
Hayma “Screech” Washington has raised the bar for reality television across the world. As the Executive
Producer of “The Amazing Race,” his work on this adventure/ reality-TV show has resulted in 5 consecutive
Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition to these 5 Emmy Awards, Hayma received the PGA Golden Laurel
Award in 2004 and has been nominated for numerous other awards throughout his impressive career. Before
producing “The Amazing Race,” Hayma served as the VP of Production at Buena Vista Television for 10 years.
While working as a production executive at Disney, Hayma supervised numerous shows including “Bill Nye the
Science Guy,” “Win Ben Stein’s Money,” “Honey I Shrunk the Kids,” and “Win, Lose or Draw” – just to name a few.
In addition to successfully producing “Phil of the Future” and “The Jersey” for the Disney Channel, Hayma has made his
mark in the directing world with “The Jersey,” “Honey I Shrunk the Kids,” and his directorial debut “The Drive,” which
was produced by his independent production company entitled Screecher’s Pix Ltd. Hayma is presently working to expand
Screecher’s Pix Ltd, and currently has a game show in development with CBS along with various other scripted and
non-scripted projects in development.
